Instant tangy tomato and vegetable sauce with Tomatoblend

  1. 1 tbsp olive oil
  2. 1 onion, finely chopped
  3. 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  4. 1 green sweet pepper, chopped into small cubes
  5. 1 pot Tomato Blend
  6. 2 tbsp chilli sauce, or more to taste
  7. 4 to 6 gherkins, chopped into small cubes


1. Heat up the olive oil in a large saucepan and gently fry the garlic and onions for five minutes until soft.
2. Add the sweet pepper cubes and fry for another three minutes.
3. Add the Tomato Blend and season to taste with the chilli sauce.
4. Bring to the boil and then turn the heat down to low.
5. Let the sauce simmer for about five minutes.
6. Turn off the heat and mix the gherkin cubes through the sauce.

The sauce can be served hot or cold and can be stored in the fridge for a few days.

It’s also great to serve with potatoes!
